Two of the state senators whose districts cover North Kingstown, who have led the fight to stop the toxic sludge plant, are endorsing Matt to help them finish the job — joined by House leadership and by every Democrat on the North Kingstown Town Council.
Town Council candidates Stacey Weinstein and Jess Plavicki have also endorsed Matt.
Her district covers North Kingstown, and she has worked alongside Matt on gun safety and environmental fights at the State House — including the moratorium that has the sludge plant stopped.
She represents North Kingstown voters and has been a leading voice on health care access, reproductive freedom, and the fight against the sludge plant in the Senate.
An environmental scientist by training, with degrees in geology and earth science and twelve years of practice before she was elected. She also serves on House Health and Human Services and House Oversight.
